This policy explains how Rapify and its apps (including StockPing) handle data from your Shopify store. We believe in transparency — here's exactly what we access, store, and never touch.

What Data We Access

Rapify apps connect to your Shopify store through the official Shopify API with read-only access. We request only the minimum API scopes needed for each app to function:

  • read_products — to identify which products to monitor
  • read_inventory — to check current stock levels
  • read_locations — to support multi-location inventory tracking

We never request write access to your store data. Our apps monitor and alert — they don't modify your catalog, inventory, or any other store data.

What We Store

To provide our services, we store the following on our servers:

  • Alert configurations — your threshold settings, notification preferences, and channel settings (email addresses, Slack webhook URLs)
  • Notification logs — timestamps and delivery status of alerts we've sent, so you can review alert history
  • Store metadata — your shop domain and which Rapify apps you've installed

What We Never Access

Rapify apps do not access, collect, or store:

  • Customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, phone numbers)
  • Payment or financial data (credit cards, billing details, revenue)
  • Order details (order history, fulfillment data, shipping information)
  • Any Shopify data outside our declared API scopes

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

  • Shopify API — to read inventory and product data from your store
  • Email delivery service — to send alert notifications to the email addresses you configure
  • Slack API — to send alert notifications to your Slack workspace (only when you connect Slack)
  • Google Analytics 4 — for anonymous usage analytics on the rapify.yousuf.cloud marketing website only, not within the Shopify app itself

GDPR & Data Privacy

Rapify processes product and inventory data — not personal data as defined by GDPR. We do not collect, store, or process any customer personal information from your store.

If you're an EU-based merchant, you retain the right to:

  • Request a full export of the data we hold about your store
  • Request deletion of all your store data at any time
  • Receive a response to any data request within 30 days

Data Retention & Deletion

When you uninstall a Rapify app, we receive Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks and delete all data associated with your store. No data is retained after uninstall.

We handle the following Shopify GDPR webhooks:

  • customers/data_request — respond with any customer data we hold (none)
  • customers/redact — delete any customer data (none stored)
  • shop/redact — delete all store data on app uninstall

Cookies

The rapify.yousuf.cloud marketing website uses Google Analytics 4, which may set analytics cookies to understand anonymous site usage. The Shopify embedded app does not set any cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
